Weddings at Silchester Farm...
Silchester Farm is a brand new Hampshire wedding venue that has really raised the bar for all wedding barns in the UK. The lovely owners Carla and Al have spent time and taken real care over how the barn looks, feels and runs. We love the rustic feel mixed with stunning gardens and agricultural elements that have been incorporated throughout.
On your entrance to Silchester Farm you are greeted by the original Hampshire Threshing Barn and The Hen House. With an inbuilt bar, facilities and overlooking the manicured Formal Gardens, Silchester Farm is already a picturesque wedding venue that has all the elements you would need for your wedding day. Cross The Courtyard and walk through The Paddock along a winding gravel path that has lighting for those dusky evenings and you come to The Lake, Pontoon and Outdoor Ceremony space. Once you have said your "I Do's" you can then walk along the path again and take the steps up to the Kitchen Garden with rustic covered Dutch Barn; pssssst, you can also use this for your ceremony.
The Kitchen Gardens are one of the newer additions to the venue and are right in front of the newly raised terrace and brand new Cow Shed which is the crowning jewel in the venue. Not only is this space perfect for your evening dinner, but can then be transformed into your evening party area with band at one end and bar at the other.

You have the Hampshire Threshing Barn which has beautiful wood beams and has a lovely soft feel to it; The Lake and Pontoon which has an idyllic outside vibe to it with the fountain, ducks and Betsy the boat; Finally the Dutch Barn which has a more raw feel with its curved tin roof set in the Kitchen Gardens.
Because of our battery powered amplification, The Guitar Duo can set up in any area of the venue, outside and inside and be in any of the above ceremony locations. This makes us completely unique and perfect for your drinks reception and wedding ceremony. Because we are not tethered by cables and power requirements we can move with you from ceremony to drinks with ease. No matter where you choose to celebrate we can provide the musical backdrop.

For all our couples who are having their weddings at Silchester Farm we will work with you to build your ultimate wedding playlist.
The most important songs we play are for your processional, signing of the register and recessional. These songs we will learn for you as part of our Ceremony and Drinks Reception Package. We have an already large repertoire of songs that we pick from on the day and we don't work with set lists so play to you and your guests. Of course, if there is something from our repertoire that you'd love to hear we'll definitely make sure we play it for you.
